ec·lec·tic
[ih-klek-tik]adjective
- selecting or choosing from various sources
- made up of what is selected from different sources.
- not following any one system, as of philosophy, medicine, etc., but electing and using what are considered the best elements of all systems.
After reading about what eclectic meant I decided I wanted to write a little bit about everything that is important to me. I want to share with you about my faith, the loves of my life [my husband and children], my family & friends, my job and everything that comes in between. I've always enjoyed writing -- it's part of my nature. I'm not saying I'm a professional writer because I'm not; I'm only who I am and I intend to enjoy every moment of it! (and that's why you see my blog name spelled with a 'K' -- just for kicks :)
my faith:
I love my faith and as a Catholic Christian 30-something woman I love the fact that I'll be able to share with you what I know and what I have learned in ministry and most important that doing something, anything for someone else other than yourself is the biggest blessing you can have.
the loves of my life:
I am also a wife and a mother of two beautiful and bright children. They are my daily inspiration - my most treasured gifts. They're always around to give me BIG hugs and kisses; to bring me hope; to surround me with love; to give me strength because at the end of the day what ultimately counts it’s the journey we are on.
my family & friends:
I come from a big family. I have the joy of having both my parents still with me; they are amazing. I have one little sister (the youngest in my family) and three brothers – yes, I’m the oldest and they’re like my children. I do have to say that they are all very talented! They play music (learned on their own), they paint (brilliant artists), they compose, they film, they CREATE; that is exactly what they do and I feel so blessed to have them in my life.
I've been blessed with friends from all walks of life and each one of them has touched my life and made it a little brighter! "A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same." -- Elbert Hubbard
my job:
It's simple; really. When I first interviewed with my director at the end of our conversation he said, Lead by example... and that makes the difference, for me at least. Through my job I've met some wonderful people, great friends and have learned so much about my faith and from time to time, I get to attend interesting workshops, certifications, classes, etc. It's fun and sometimes a little overwhelming but the best part is that I have a wonderful boss who is caring and understanding and if I ever need advice about anything really, I know I can count on him.
